Who is this camp for?

Anyone that wants to have a kick-ass time, bond with others and get outside!  We cater to every different genre of photographer and experience level*.  This camp is about strengthening ties within the community and spark your creativity and passion for photography.  If that sounds like something you're into please join us!

*Please note a basic level of knowledge about operating a camera and editing software is recommended as there will be specific exercises and challenges that will require it.

When is the next camp?

The West Coast Camp will run June 26th-29th, 2018 on Bowen Island, BC.  We also have plans in the works for a camp in Ontario in the Fall of 2018, stay tuned for details!

How many spaces are available?

Each camp will have different availability but we generally offer spots for 20-30 campers.  Sign up here to be on our mailing list for future events.

What is included in the cost?

Everything!  We wanted to make sure that this was as easy as possible for attendees.  We don't want you to worry about making arrangements so we've taken care of all of that for you.  All you have to do is get yourself to the venue or mode of transport (if specified for your camp). Accommodations are part of the cost and there are options to either get a private room and comfy bed (you can even sleep in the middle of the bed if you want!) or shared rooms at a lower cost. While at camp you will be fed three healthy and delicious meals a day as well as snacks.  All activities, sessions and photo challenges are included in the cost as well.  The only thing that isn't included in the fees is alcohol which is available for purchase at the venue or you are free to bring your own.

What are the accommodations like?

All of our venues are carefully selected for the best possible vibes and experience for our attendees.  They are all different but we try and maintain a high level of comfort, while still maintaining a "camp-like" environment, close to nature!

What if I'm coming alone?

We highly encourage you to come even if you don't know anyone else!  This is an awesome community to be a part of and we know everyone will make friends quickly.  Our activities are mainly group based so you will have lots of opportunities to get to know each other.  

What are the "Photo Challenges" all about?

We don't want to give away too much until you get to camp but we have prepared several fun photo challenge activities throughout the three days.  Most of them are team exercises and all of them are designed to get you thinking out of the box.  We want you to come out of the challenges inspired and motivated to try new things!

What's the food like? What if I have dietary restrictions?

The catering staff at each venue will be preparing attendees three meals a day plus offering nutritional breaks and non-alcoholic beverage service.  The chefs specialize in creative Canadian cuisine made with local ingredients that you are sure to love!  If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions please let us know when registering and we will make sure the catering team knows.

What should I bring?

We are providing all the essentials so you only have to bring your camera gear and some clothes!  We recommend you pack a pair of good shoes for hiking/activities and some warm clothes for our night time stargazing session. We will also be offering editing sessions so please bring a laptop if you have one, if you do not have one please let us know ahead of time so we can accommodate.

When is my final payment due?

Your final payment is due in full 30 days before Camp.
